Catholic Charities - Mayor Gary Smith declared June as Catholic Charities month in Galesburg. Please check out the displays at the Public Library and the Bergner's Court of the Sandburg Mall.
Girl Scouts of the Mississippi Valley- Regional Manager Kathy Schutman is back in the area. Camp next week - Blackhills.
Illowa Council, Boy Scouts of America - Cubscout day camp - Spring Lake, will have 8 boys with plenty of adult supervision. For 1st grade through 5th grade. As we teach our young adults archery, swimming, and outdoor skills to name a few. New cubscout pack at ICS.
Jamieson Community Center - The mission of the Jamieson Community Center is to coordinate programs addressing the needs of all ages, provide services wich extend widely into the community and surrounding area and work in cooperation with social service agencies in the region.
Kirkwood Senior Citizens - Currently recruiting. Participating in Kirkwood Days.
Lutheran Preschool and Daycare - In transition. Involved in park program. Pre-school numbers are up. 2 week shut down.
Lutheran Social Services - New clients in Warren County. Referalls are strong. Goal - more intensive workshops, teaching practical skills.
Mother-to-Mother Ministries - Annual picnic - family pictures taken. 27 different households represented. Conference - women of faith, 47 attending. 17 total cost covered. 13 some funding complete. 4 partial payment.
Prairie State Legal Services - have a new intern, Stephanie.
Roseville Kids Place- Summer program up and running. Openings for school age and preschool.
Roseville Friendship Center -
RSVP - Hired a new assistant. Helping agencies find volunteers.
Starting Point - 3 new staff (doubled). Male case management, vista worker, and a minister. New website - ADD.com. Ask to start a debtors anonoymous program.
Strom Center - New changes on staff, currently training.
Teddy Bear Child Development Center -
Triumph Services - Season starts next Monday. 32 enrolled. 1/3 from Monmouth.
University of IL Extension -
Warren Achievement - Residential project almost finished at Boston Ave (8 individuals). Another project will be located at 417 W. 11th Ave.
Warren County YMCA - Summer programs in full gear. Multitude - adult classes. Healthwise - collaborated with weight watchers, to point people to a healthier lifestyle. Auction - Dancing for dreams, October 4th at the Rivoli. Had 250 people last year.
